About
Meet the Committee !
Yorkshire Rat Club
President:
Based in Leeds this Club promotes the keeping of Rats as good home pets. Providing a regular Show / Meeting venue in Leeds city, a very accessable part of Yorkshire, we wish to encourage owners to meet together and show their pets in regular shows. This club will serve all rat owners, who up to now have had no where for them to gather, meet and discuss their pets.
After lots of disappointments that drove our spirits down so low that we'd reached dispair, a ray of hope did shine through !!. At St Agnes we were treated warmly from the start. The lady Vicar shone through and could see our plight, even though Rats are not her own first choice of pets. That was in 2002. When inquiring of hiring the Hall, we were again warmly met with the greatest consideration by Brenda. I thank her Reverence and also Brenda for giving us the opportunity at that time, to make the Clubs home with St Agnes .
We are pleased to have a real

Show Manager:
The Yorkshire Rat Club is fully Affiliated to the National Fancy Rat Society.
Full Varieties & Pets Shows are held which are judged against the NFRS show standards. We include permanent show classes for Pets, that are always open to entries of any rat regardless of it's pattern or colour as long as they are clean, healthy and have a nice friendly character.
The Club encourages beginners who own pets, to join the Club, learn more about the rats and help them to step up into the world of keeping and Showing of established Varieties of rats which are constantly improving in all standards. It costs no more to keep carefully line bred ' Fancy Rats ' than general pets.
The Club is for its members. We the committee are its servants at all times.
but of course the committee needs the help of keen willing helpers to prepare and
stage all the Shows -
