Ivermectin ( liquid ), is used to treat skin & fur pests of rats. This is not available from the shop.

If you suspect your rats have contracted Lice( quite common ) that clings in the fur of the rat's back, or worse - the dreadful Mange Mite ( rarer thankfully !), this pest burrows under the skin so is invisible to the human eye. It is causes distorting growths to appear, on nose, ears and and on the tail 'pointed raised swellings. This is very dangerous to the rats and very contageous. Take prompt action and isolate all the group and treat immediately.
